on GE 12

Assalamualaikum and good day to all,

The sudden hiatus was obviously to give way for the coming election dated two weeks from now.

Recently I've found a very good mainstream newspaper which stands as neutralizer and reported the same amount of news for any political parties, not just the ruling party alone. Actually I've knew this for years, but only in my new residence that I'd managed to pick it up along my way to work and guess what, the best part is, this newspaper is FREE.

(Can't you guess? It's the ONLY FREE NEWSPAPER in town!!)

Yes, theSun says it all, whether you like it or not.

I love to highlight an article written by Terence Fernandez about this last Friday.

Also an insipiring letter by a thoughtful Malaysian, his hope and stand for the 12th General Election which I am more than happy to share with all of the readers.

Who will you vote for?

It's March 8.Who will you be voting for? I'll tell you who I will NOT be voting for.

I will not vote for the crooked and the corrupt. They enrich themselves through contracts and gifts. They sit in their mansions feeling safe because they are well-connected.

I will not vote for the dishonest and double-dealers.They say one thing and then think it's perfectly all right to act differently.

I will not vote for the uncouth and uncivilised. They open their mouths and show the world their utter small-mindedness.

I will not vote for sexists who equate women with leaking pipes and old toilets. They laugh and joke about women without batting an eyelid. The rest of us cringed in open-mouthed amazement at their fixation with the opposite sex.

I will not vote for the racists and the bigots, the immoral and the unjust. To be sure, there are good and bad politicians on both sides on the divide.

On the other hand, there are those who revel in public service, executing their duties without fear and favour. You'll find them in the ruling party as well as the opposition. They are ethical and honest, principled and trustworthy. They stand up for those that aree left behing in our nation. These are the ones I will vote for.

Edwin John
Penang.

Yes Mr John, I'm 200% agree with your two cents.Your well written thoughts had perfectly expressed my feelings and perhaps most of the Malaysians who care.
On a different note, I'd love to hear more on Gobind Singh Deo's manifesto which highlights the rising price of toll as his main issue. He will be reprensenting DAP for Puchong parliament seat, and obviously his manifesto referred to the LDP toll rate that increased 60% in 2006. I just realized that actually, since I've only been a frequent user of LDP since a month ago. And to `donate' RM3.20 for a 10 km ride to my workplace everyday (RM1.60 for one way) is way too much. So come on Gobind, take out all your weapons. I believe all Puchong people, all nearby residents and me can't wait for you to fight for our rights!
GE 12, the spirit is in the air!

More always than often

Kadang-kadang...
(more always than often)

Terima kasih ;)

Wish to have this ;)

Currently, I'm craving for this!

Last time I went to MPH, it does not arrive yet ;(

Terpulang

Assalamualaikum dan salam sejahtera.

Tidak lama dahulu semasa bersembang ala coffee talk dengan ayah saya, tiba-tiba kami menyentuh tentang suasana pentadbiran negara kita. Kenapa pemerintahan nampak goyah, kenapa sekarang nampak banyak sangat masalah. Dulu-dulu memang macam ni kah? Ataupun saya yang baru terasa kepincangannya sebab sekarang ni baru nak prihatin dan sensitif tentang masalah bangsa, masalah negara? Ayah saya tak memberi jawapan yang terus, tapi beliau menyentuh satu fakta yang menyebabkan saya tersedar. Beliau mengatakan negara kita ni dah 50 tahun diperintah oleh parti yang sama, tanpa sebarang perubahan tampuk pemerintahan.
Noktah.

Niat tu memang bagus tapi persoalannya, kenapa sekarang? Why all of the sudden?

Dan apabila saya meneruskan hobi biasa, `blog hopping', saya pun perasan ramai blogger mula mengulas tentang pilihanraya, dari golongan penganalisis politik sampailah ke golongan pelajar yang tak pernah pun selama ni secara langsung membuat ulasan tentang politik. Sememangnya perkembangan yang menarik, dan saya juga bangga apabila golongan bloggers muda tampil memberikan buah fikiran masing-masing tentang keadaan politik semasa. Syabas!

"aku tak minat politik, aku tak mahu ambil tahu."
"ni politik ni, kerja kotor semua ni"
"tak suka la, mind our own business dah la"

The art or science of government or governing, especially the governing of a political entity, such as a nation, and the administration and control of its internal and external affairs.

See?

Kalau boleh jangan tengok mainstream je, buka jugak Siasah, Harakah, Nanyang Siang Pau (kalau faham la, isy menyesal saya tak khatam belajar bahasa Mandarin dulu. Try it yourself !

( ini memang pos warm-up, nantikan pos seterusnya. Oyeah!)

On updates and whatsnots

Salam and hye to all,

Some of you might be wondering, why the hiatus all of the sudden.
While some of you already knew.

I'd secured a job, and have been working for the past two weeks. So far, the situation is good, the environment is much better than I expected, the friends are nice and the food is good ;) I mean the free food of course, since the first week I had my orientation and the following week full of back-to-back training courses. And there are more to come. We learnt about necessary softwares that we need to master i.e data analysis tools, probability and statistics, SPC, MSA, ESDA, and Basic/Advance MS Excel. I felt like the old times in school, minus the assignments and tests.Haha.

Officially being an engineer by designation really makes me and my colleagues flattered too. We were the typical newbies, high spirited and highly motivated, ready to meet any challenges. Wait until we get the first assignment by our bosses, then only we can tell langit tu tinggi ke rendah. Hee..

Did I mentioned I've been working in my most favourite field, the manufacturing cum electronics peripherals industry? I don't know why, but I prefer this field the most. Maybe because of its hectic environment, the fast-paced technology, everybody looks busy and important (and most of them are super genius cum workaholic), modern buildings, overstuffed cafeteria, meal coupons, cozy cubicles, clean toilets and the never-ending beverage supply in the pantry. Maybe because I had an eight months history of internship in a company quite similar to this one. The long lost vocabulary- cleanroom, jumpsuit, ESD, contamination, smock, safety shoes, particles, drives - welcome back!

I learnt the important techniques and tips living in a city. Like, the Smart Tag lanes in LDP toll gate are way slower than the normal lanes, and the best thing is for you to have a Touch n Go card and swipe it at any lane you like, which is of course with the less queuing vehicles. Do you know that all lanes, including the `Tunai Sahaja' lanes have TnG swipe box? And also, a ten minutes difference on the time you actually depart to work will make you arrive at work in ten minutes or in freaking forty minutes? Yes, welcome to the magical world of LDP and all the places in between. And the most important skill that I managed to adapt is, to try to enjoy the massive traffic jam every morning and evening. Really, several times I glanced at the car nearby in a traffic jam, the drivers were actually reading mags and novels. Yes, no kidding. But of course they're skillful drivers so minimum possibility of they ramming into the other's bumpers. For me, a fresh music or silly jokes by the deejays will do, and perhaps a quick breakfast too while driving. The keyword is; ENJOY.

I love trying things and meeting challenges, and my brother did not spare me any. When I want or need to go somewhere and I asked him the direction, he will instantly draw me maps and asked me to find out the location myself. So in my two weeks living in the big city, I already familiar with the LDP/Federal Highway/MRR2 (end to end)/Bukit Jalil/Shah Alam/Sunway area. Quite a personal achievement, I shall say. Tahniah ye Shahira.

OK enough of babbles, I'll write some more later.
Congrates to the others who just secured a job, all the best in whatever you do.
First gaji jangan lupa ha!
