Therapy
Because skincare and makeups are like therapy to me (and i believe to most women too)..
Because office workload are so overwhelming these days that i need a destressing activity in midst of this chaos.. and that always means trying new things (coz im adventurous liddat)
Because my skin is supersensitive and relied too much on overpriced commercial products which made me think, hey, lets find a safer, local products that contained premium quality ingredients with AFFORDABLE price, and suitable for sensitive skin.i'm sure there is one out there.
And now i found the ONE.

Ending the LDR and starting new life
Well, obviously this is the best happen to any LDR wives out there, but little that I know is the need of change and readjusting to normal life is not really a breeze and sometimes may be quite challenging.
1.Suddenly you have a partner to go and back from work. My habit of having my own sweet time every morning (sometimes I do sleep back after the Subuh prayer, and go to the office at 8.40am because I dont feel like coming early that day) is quite irrelevant anymore since I need to consider his morning meetings, etc. And he is quite reluctant to take the LRT hence we need to arrange of season parking near the office, and some mornings we need to send our child to the grandma's since we have 2 homes to man now hence it took more time off my usual morning routine.
2.Obviously, more house chores and laundry is waiting at home :P I dont mind washing and folding clothes but ironing is such a different story altogether. I always wonder why women's clothes are easier to iron hence quicker, as my routine is to iron MY clothes every morning before I go to work. But men's clothes always take more than 30 minutes (why dont the men's shirt manufacturers make shirts from iron-free materials??)! Of course tak sempat if I want to iron both of our clothes every morning! Don't talk about weekends because we're rarely at home hence ironing a one week's stock is out of question for my situation. Finally I manage to convince the husband to take his cothes for ironing at the nearby laundry shop.. phew that lifts my workload alot. Also the guilt of hardly cooking any meal for the husband especially on weekdays.. usually we eat at our inlaws or outside and although my husband dont really mind his dear wife is rarely cook, but the guilt is a must for all wives I guess.
3. The different ideas on how we spend our out of office time sometimes makes me go crazy. While sometimes I carefully plan for a family weekends or attend usrah or programs at night, he would surprise me with his adhoc outstation, late meetings, adhoc golfing, meeting friends etc. While his is always `urgent' and `important' as if mine was not, this is where diplomatic conversation is really crucial to avoid miscommunation and get a win-win situation. So expect some confrontation and drama but at the end of the day, just dont drag any emotional or communication breakdown for too long; focus to sort the problems out soonest possible.
4.While the three points listed above is the challenge, one cant deny the perks and joy of having a husband by your side. The lesser burden of having to manage the house and kid on your own, a driver to drive you to most of your destination, a person to carry your groceries, a person to entertain your kid to sleep when Mummy is too tired or sick and most importantly Amna is evidently very happy with his Daddy's presence that of course makes Mummy happier.
5.Among unexpected thing that happened when the husband finally come home for good is, suddenly he brought back with him loads of clothes and stuff that we dont have enough storage in our tiny crib. I remembered he departed few years ago with only 2 bags and now these?! Hence we decided to get a new, bigger wardrobe for all the stuff. And when we plan for that, suddenly we felt that it was high time to refurbish the house abit since it looks exactly the same as 4 years ago (our apartment is a fully furnished unit when we bought it, even the curtains were 4 years old and never been washed!). Hence the small plan become a major thing and as of my writing now, the refurbishing work is still in progress and the house still looks like a ship wreck. So forgive me if i did not invite anyone to my house for Raya, promise I will invite you next year :)
Well that's a summary of my life after giving up the LDR wife title for good. I pray for other LDR wives to stay cool and collected, as you're one superwoman, ladies! The experience is priceless I must say, as it prepares you for anything, anytime. Now I can casually and coolly say `OK' when my husband break the news to go outstation/offshore the very next day (yes adhoc assignment is a norm).Cool right? We also knows where and when to pay the bills (trivia: do you know how many bills your husband need to pay every month?), who to call when the pipe is leaking or car battery is flat, you know the things that may be taken for granted when the hubby is constantly around. And needless to say, the whole situation brings us closer to the family as they are our lifesaver more often than not. Talk about the benefits of having both parents near you :) TTYL :)

Boss hanyalah posmen
(This was written on 19/1)
I am writing this from a condo's balcony overlooking the open sea. With scenic view and the sound of wave crashing the shore, the best word to describe this feeling is .....blessed. The irony part was i just had the same experience last week overlooking the same sea, but from a diffferent shore with different set of people.
I just had yet another conversation with ny colleague about the things that we thought would have gone better with a better leadership. This time was regarding endless work related issues due to different expectation from different level of people in the organisation. We acknowledged that the difference is a norm, but what about the actions to make ends meet?
When all reasons and evidences had resurfaced,we've nobody else to blame but the BOSS.It's always the boss(es) who are incompetent, cruel, heartless, not understanding gen Y, not this and not that. And it is a known fact that most popular reason on our friends' resignation is due to the boss factor. So when there is an obvious target, why bother finding other factor to support the hypothesis?
These few weeks I' ve the opportunity to work on a paper to be presented to my higher management. Prior to the seating,we were required to have syndication sessions with every one of committee members to obtain mutual agreement prior to the real papee. During these sessions that I slowly realised the rationale of some decisions made by them, and how some idea, no matter how brilliant it was from our own point of view, might not be that good from the eyes of others. The management were trained to think like this, not focusing but always consider the negative impact of everything. My father in law,a military officer once told me that the army are also trained this way so they are better prepared and always in the alert mode incase anything goes wrong to our nation's security.
So the main question is, IS boss the one to be blamed in most situation in the office?
Not shoving the leadership factor aside, we (the gen y) always believe that our bosses need to improve on the leadership skills. BUT never forget that we also need to improve OURSELVES in terms of trying to understand and showing good manners to the elderly. It was worrying when I saw before my eyes that some people I know did not really respect the boss. Some did not informed when coming late to office or even taking leave, did not greet the bosses when they meet at the corridors, did not bother to compose nice sentences in emails.. and the list goes on and on.The selfish and 'I am always right no matter what' attitude need to be improved, my dear friends. A reminder to myself too if ever i cross the line.In simple words, jaga adab kita.
Because the truth is, boss(es) are just postmans - messengers of what had been laid down by our Ultimate Boss. If you dont like your workplace for whatever reason, make a move.Kan simple like that.

Ujian selepas kahwin
Hence with faith like this I believe everyone, especially women out there can endure everything that happen and rationalize it before you keep on saying things to reasoning yourself but disturbing to others like :
Your difficulty is a far cry than mine- so shut up.
I admit that those sentences were my own, once upon a time. But I dah insaf. And hopefully the momentum will stay as you know, women is so fragile, thinking about 50 things at once, harini OK esok emosi tak stabil balik. For me, the key of success is only one : to get nearer to your Creator. Itu je.
Sekian, semoga di hari2 down I di masa depan, Insya Allah I can re-read this post and heal my soul back.
Cheers :)

Tipula kalau tak jealous
Tipula kalau I tak jealous....
1. Tengok orang dating ngan husband hari2
2. Tengok orang gi kerja dihantar dan dijemput husband
3. Tengok orang yang mampu pergi outstation/event/program sebab husband ada tolong jagakan anak
4. Tengok orang yang tenang je kat rumah sebab husband tolong uruskan hal2 harian dari basuh baju, iron baju, kemas rumah etc
5. Tengok family yang weekendnya penuh aktiviti untuk seisi keluarga macam pergi park, shopping mall, program etc
6. Tengok orang yang mampu plan the weeks and comply to it without dail
I pun x terkecuali dalam hal ni.. and honestly it takes some time to heal or find the rationale.
For me it doesnt matter, you deserve to grief for a while but dont take too long to heal, ok dear? Coz things like this is beyond our control, and no matter hard we try, if Allah has other plan for you it will never ever work.
For me, at this point of time where my emotion is most stable, the trick is to always sedar yang kita ni hamba. Siapa kita ni nak marah2 when our life turns to be the total opposite from what we dream. Sebab Pencipta kita itu tahu semuanya..
Looking back, I admit that my life journey is quite easy and straightforward. I was never the best in school but always in the top3 in primary school, top10 in secondary. My parents were the easygoing ones who always support and allow me to do whatever I want. I want to go to the boarding school and was selected.I never prepared for my scholarship interview for uni but got the offer. I met my right guy in uni who was from my hometown and got married. I never had financial problem as far as I am concern, alhamdulillah. As I said, I was never the best and some things do happen not the way I wanted I.e I dont get to further my study overseas and did not obtain a first class degree, but almost everything in my life falls nicely into places.... until I got married.
Allah uji I lepas I got married....

Reset Minda Pekerja
If you ever experience perasaan tak suka pergi pejabat, tak suka bosses, tak suka colleagues, tak suka your work, rasa tak pernah dihargai dan 1001 macam lagi grievances related to work, well you should catch the re run of this episode in Astro Oasis. When I watch this episode, every single words uttered by Prof really hit me right on the face. I pernah rasa perasaan yang sangat teruk ni twice in my working life. Once when i just got married and my husband immediately was assigned to Vietnam and other places.. and sekali lagi masa i just gave birth to my baby and got back to work, where I need to stay with my inlaws coz they agreed to take care of my baby while I got to work. To think back during these two major downside of my life, both were related to fragile emotions due to missing support by the husband and ALSO some problem in the office that i shall not detailed down here.
Well to relate back to the topic, the key concept that i learnt from the program me is focus on what we are giving, rather that we are given. We always see ourselves as most important person because we do good work for the company, more often we stretch our efforts to make ends meet, and we always expect something in return, sometimes even something extra at the end of the day. But sometimes we tend to forget that we are the one who apply to work for the company, and they have the rights to assess our work and decides whether we shall be given handsome bonus or not at the end of the year. And once the decision did not meet our expectation, our instinct is always to rebel and give less from what we always give, because it doesn't make any difference anyway. Because those persons whom give less but more visible, or please the bosses whom will get the extra perks and not us.
The paragraph above is actually a real case that always happen in the workforce, especially in my unit. It is because my current work is so monotonous, very operational and is always hectic through out the year. At least a project has phases, and perhaps you may get totally busy at any of the phase and once it was done, you may have a time period to cool down and reflects, suggest for rooms of improvements before the next project kick off. But not for my case. So the negative atmosphere is always clouding my units especially because most of the member of my units are quite experienced people, and we have experience working with different team and bosses that we could always compare our experience to.
For me, i am a self motivated person. For me motivational book doesn't help to increase my motivation, i will do the soul searching and find my inspiration so i can get the mood and actually enjoy what i am doing at work, so i can strive better and perform at my best level. So currently the work atmosphere doesn't bother me so much, as i now if i want to make the atmosphere better, i am the one who need to move forward. Not forcing or waiting for the scenario to change. For external motivation i look forward to programmes like Prof Muhaya's and also by reading biography books of famous and successful person.
So if you're feeling down and not wanting to wake up the next day to go to the office, please catch the rerun of this programme to get you inspired. We need to understand why we go to work and how to enjoy working, if we fail to feel the joy we might as well quit and do something else instead e.g. starting a business, etc. And please do it quickly, because the longer you stay, you might feel more miserable, and this will surely affect your performance, and you will be the excess baggage to your colleagues and company too.

2011 Reminiscence
My 2011 was coloured with a lot of milestones and memorable moments. I felt like having a hardbound diary just to remember this year, but is there any point of having a diary at the very end of the year? Haha perhaps I can try for next year.
Jan 2011
The year started with a family trip with hubby's family and my birthday celebration (thanks honey!) to Guangzhou, China. Our intention is actually to look for small business opportunity and only Mama managed to start her own! She bought 30 beautiful evening clutches (or some of us referred to it as dinner bags) and it was a big hit among her friends and relatives. This was a rough and hectic journey, but we love every moment of it! Later when we come home, I found my pregnancy test was positive. I conceived! After one year of marriage. It was such a sweet birthday present for us. To be honest, we'd planned to start to meet some Gynae to check our fertility status (just in case), but the good news came really fast.
Feb 2011
I need to mention here, since last Eid Adha in 2010 hubby always in KL for work and not scheduled elsewhere. So I was practically happy! On 6th Feb, I found myself bleeding non-stop and I had suspected the worse. On 7th Feb, the doctor in PUSRAWI confirmed my fetus wasn't developing and later that evening, I had the worse stomach cramp ever and was rushed to the ER in PCMC. I was admitted for 3 days to undergone D&C (I had an almost complete abortion, almost, hence the D&C) and enjoyed 2 weeks of mini confinement at home.
Mar 2011
I believe I recovered quite well, physically and emotionally after that experience. Only to found the shocking news : hubby was asked for a long attachment (read: transfer minimum 1 year) to Brunei. They just set up a subsidiary company there and for most Oil and Gas engineers, this was like a dream come true (on the development of skills, experience, perks, etc). And they wanted him on the first day of April. So throughout this month his job is consoling his dear wife and assuring me everything will be fine, insya Allah. We'll work through this together (of course I didn't buy it though, but what else can I do?)
Apr 2011
He fled to Brunei for good. The arrangement is for me to stayed with my parents in Seremban and commute to work everyday. Although it was tiring, I found it manageable though, cause my Dad is also a frequent commuter for the last 20 years. At least I ada geng. Tapi it depends jugak I didn't commute the entire month, sometimes I just stayed in KL and went to the parents near and over the weekend. Just to spice things up, hubby got to go to Perth for a week's work and I happily drop everything and followed him :) Macam second honeymoon la pulak.
May 2011
In one of the weekend, I went to BWN to check on him. Since he was still on attachment, he stayed in a nice hotel and I am happy to tumpang sekaki. Oh I love staying in luxury hotels! (who doesn't?). We went around hujung ke hujung, sampai ke Kuala Belait (coincidentally a Malaysian family hosted a small event so we just came to mingle around) and near Limbang border. Can't belief we covered the whole Brunei in just one night! I went to Labuan for the first time since it took just 45 mins by ferry. We bought some choc, had a lunch by the beach, tumpang solat kat Grand Dorsett (too lazy to catch a taxi just to go to the nearest masjid) and back to BWN. This month also hubby got to go to Singapore for work too, and as always I ikut jugak, haha. Who can't resist to stay in a nice hotel near Orchard Road? Nak pergi sendiri kurang mampu.
June & July 2011
Highlight of the month is hubby's Away Day in Kota Kinabalu. I never been to KK before! So again I packed my things and met him there. Sutera Harbour had such an amazing scenery, it looks like postcards! Sampai my parents cakap dah muak dah every weekend asik pergi airport je haha.. These moves was inspired by one of my ex-manager, she said `Never worried about kids, they will come when the time comes. I dulu after 2 years baru dapat anak, sementara tu I enjoy je life dengan hubby. Kalau nak berjalan, angkat beg terus pergi, takyah fikir2'. Haha kata2 hikmat di situ. After this trip, I was so busy with work (if you want to make it sound technical, I've started my `Operations') and could not afford people covering me. Owh before I forgot, after my miscarriage and an away husband, the pressure to conceive has almost gone, unlike last year. I just go with the flow and even once asked hubby `Kita plan for a child bila abang balik for good lah?'. But instead he replied `takpe, tu kuasa Allah, kalau dia nak bagi dia bagi jugak'. I'm flattered!
Aug 2011
It was fasting month, and hubby promised to come home every weekend. I stayed at my parents' house the whole month coz the food is nicer at home for break fast. Haha. But one of the weekend he had a workshop, and since it was done in the most prestigous hotel in Brunei (Empire hotel) I happily booked a flight to BWN! Haha so I get to experience the fasting month in Brunei, alah same je cam tempat kita. This was also the first time I went to hubby's `rumah bujang' (cis nama je rumah bujang tapi sangat selesa) which he lived with his colleagues for the past 3 months. Late this month I received another surprising news: I conceived again alhamdulillah (despite our status as by-weekly couple-memang kuasa Allah kita tak boleh halang) after 6 months since my miscarriage. It looks like I got the most memorable Raya present ever!
Sept &Oct 2011
Raya2! Balik kampung Kedah and only then we popped the news to the inlaws. I wanted to keep it as a secret but hubby memang tak sabar2. After six weeks of conceiving, the most dreaded morning sickness strikes me. Tidak perlu detail, imagine kan aje. Walaupun setiap hari rase nak cuti, nak unpaid leave, tak larat nak bangun.. hehe. Alhamdulillah. I rase agak teruk jugak my sickness but I managed to go to the office most of the days. Maybe just 1-2 days of MC? Since hubby had started Operations and went to offshore quite a lot, I pendamkan aje desire nak merengek2 suruh hubby balik just because of my condition. Sedih kan I. Hahaha pathetic I know.ANd after 3 months of conceiving I dont really have the energy to commute from Seremban to work anymore, so I am in KL most of the time.
Nov&Dec 2011
A short trip to Hong Kong in mid Nov with the whole family (my side) termasuk budak kecik 2 orang tu..sangat seronok! Can't believe how fast time flies.. sedar tak sedar we'd been in LDR for 9 months already! Some good news: My PIL got transferred to KL and obtained a kuarters in Mindef HQ, which means they were now my neighbour!! Dapat jua ku menumpang kasih heheh. The dreaded news: Hubby was confirmed to extend his contract in Brunei or even consider a transfer package for that matter, atleast for another year. I guess it is wise to not grief about this fate too much, it is much easier to accept everything and pray for the best. We believe we'll get this through, insya Allah. After all we survived 9 months, no? Also my health is doing extremely well- Alhamdulillah I did not experience any difficulties or mishap(nauzubillah) throughout the pregnancy because I strongly believe Allah destined everything this way, and He is always there for us. So far hubby never missed any of my monthly check ups and that alone makes me (and baby) happy :)
OK that's about it on some note that I wish to rewind and retain in my memory in 2011. Hopefully 2012 will be a better year for all of us insya Allah :)

The Beauty of Giving
of giving, whether we realize it or not. I am an avid believer of this
beautiful concept, and I did experience alot of thing that somehow
perhaps (insya Allah) caused by the act of giving.
Like today, I just give something to someone and suddenly, almost
immediately, hubby called and surprised me `Abang balik esok :)'
padahal sebelum ni dah declare siap2 tak balik minggu ni walaupun cuti
panjang coz nak balik minggu depan and kena cover colleagues yang cuti
hujung tahun. Huhu sib baek takde drama airmata di situ kalau tak
segan I.
Even alot of Islamic scholars encouraged giving or donating if you
want your wish to be fulfilled.. including if you want a child or
something that you wished for some time but haven't got it. Coz
eventually, giving away makes you gain more and more! Honestly, when I
was trying to conceive, I did this too and it work wonders,
alhamdulillah.
The best part of giving is, the recipient always pray for you and that
is what I treasure the most. Just imagine orang yang berdoa untuk you
ada hijab without us knowing (nauzubillah)? Subhanallah the result is
always amazing :)
Make it a habit that everytime you log in/go to the ATM to check at
the amount of money in your account, always transfer some allocated
amount to the needy/someone before you log out. Be it RM10 pun takpe,
it will grow more and will never stop! Somebody told me,if you want to
be a millionaire, the number one thing you should do is giving a lot,
insya Allah you will reach your goal. Since being a millionaire is
also my dream goal, I want to implement this tip too!
:) Today is a happy happy day, hence the positive vibe :)

2nd Anniversary Memorabilia
getaway like last year, we celebrated with his big family's barbecue
cum family day. I eat like nobody's business, like my aunt said
`Rasenye Sha nie dah duduk kat semua kerusi keliling meja ni dah..
makannn je tak berenti' Heheh blame the scrumptious barbecue (I'm a
self-proclaimed barbecue lover) and lots of food!
Sekali cerita pasal BBQ tapi picture adalah pen. Takpelah forgive me please :p
That is hubby's new treasure and he was sweet enough to engrave our
names together. Can I consider that as our 2nd anniversary
memorabilia, hunny? :) Wow dah 2 tahun.. time flies! I feels more like
pasangan bercinta rather than a 2-year- married couple coz we're
always apart and always on the phone, asking lame questions without
fail like `Buat ape tuh', `Dah makan ke', `Makan ape harini', `Dah
mandi ke',`Esok buat ape' stuff like that, everytime we talk. Dulu
rase poyo jer orang tanye boyfriend dia camtu tapi sekarang I yang
buat pulak, hehe
P/S: Entry orang bercinta. Sila abaikan.

No Regrets : This Ain't A Textbook Life
Ok you 've known the chronology already, I detailed it out in the last page. "No regrets" - those words were stucked on my head from the very first night I was admitted in the hospital until recently. Nothing should be regretted pun kan. But Alhamdulillah I didn't feel depressed or anything alike.OK I cried once and that's it, just accept it.It had happened and it was not the worse thing happen to someone. Yelah I mean, countless ladies that I knew had the same experience, if not worse. My friends,my colleauges,my boss,my aunties.. ramai yang dah share experience yang sama that actually made me relieved.
I pun tak sure what my point is actually tapi I still nak tulis something.
Yang tak semua kita ni experiencing/will experience `textbook life'. My definition of textbook life is everything you planned is exactly implemented whether with or without your control. Macam, you study that discipline and you get employed doing exactly that.dan you plan nak kawin at 25 and you got it arranged.dan after one year you already pregnant, no complication whatsoever and had a beautiful baby, after two years you got another bundle of joy and the list went on and on.meanwhile you get good performance ratings at work, get promoted within 4 years, buy house, buy new cars, etc. As odd as it sounds, some people do get a textbook life.I know some who had it.Tak mungkinlah tak jealous tapi dah memang rezeki dan tertulis their plan is exactly the same as the God's plan..they should be grateful to have all that.
While, some of us, infact most of us will face bumps down the road.Sometimes we will be hit hard, sometimes we bounce back harder.Bukanlah sebab Tuhan tak sayang but we will be challenged on things that we are actually capable to deal with no matter how hard.. it was written in the holy Quran. Infact kita pun kena sangat bersyukur sebab dapat ujian, ujian tanda sayang Allah kpd hamba-Nya kan? Mungkin textbook life is not the best for us, hence ours are more challenging. The fact is that when we died, we will only be judged with our iman and taqwa. Not our money, our success stories, our performance rating, our number of children, our family etc etc.
Tak ingat dah tajuk dia.. tapi pasal anak perempuan ni yang ala2 jahat cakap kasar ngan mak dia kat telefon, pastu terus eksiden. Then bila dia terjaga tengok kawan2 dia semuanya dah mati dalam kereta tu, dia takut dan panggil2 mak dan abang dia yang dia dah buat jahat untuk mintak maaf..lepas tu baru dia nampak mayat dia sendiri tercampak luar keta.Maksudnya dia pun dah mati...... owh that scene really touched me. Siapa tahu tajuk dia sila bagitau saya ok.
OK I know this post tak sharp and point dia bersepah2.But that is how I usually think,bersepah2 and think 10 things sekaligus. And I'll pray for you guys too.Semoga baik2 sahaja!

Logik Etika Estestika
Etika
Estestika.
Pendek kata, perfect cinematography (he art or technique of movie photography, including both the shooting and development of the film).
