I am a proud Ambivert

Definition of ambivert. : a person having characteristics of both extrovert and introvert.

I came across to an article in facebook today, about ambivert... and I am so happy at last i belong to a group. Hahaaaa

All this while i thought i am a weirdo.. I love socialising but at times i just love to be alone. Back in school, i was always in a group of girls. Primary school, secondary school and even in uni days :) i always always make sure i was not alone, even eating alone made me feels like i am a loser.

But when i grow older, i feel the need to be alone once in a while. i learn to enjoy alone time in public, like reading in bookstores, or eat at my favourite sushi joints, or just strolling/jogging in the park alone. But at the same time i always need to subscribe to a society, or clubs or group of people with same interests...which are beyond my circle of friends.... :) My current interest group includes this one ladies NGO, charity and latest is Freshpicks family :p But as usual, i need to have my me time once in a while to re energize and self motivate myself.

So does the above made me an ambivert? :P

My own sweet time

Finally i managed to have my own time..and this is due to the sprained, swollen foot since i missed the last step at the stairs near my house last night.it was so painful and i can barely walk until now.its just icepack and bandages at the moment..dont even have time to go to clinic yet.
So here i am alone without the kids...kakak at playschool and adni with her wanmama.so when i am bored and unable to do the chores,i write.
Well to reflect back,i wish to capture few milestones so it wont slipped off my mind:
1. After 2 months of morning cries to school,Amna eventually embraced the fact that she need to go to school every weekdays morning.and she is happier to go to school now alhamdulillah.
2.However, ever since we establish a new schedule, sometimes when Amna is too tired, she tend to mengamuk and scream on top of lungs for hour.It was traumatic for us parents and we struggled hard to avoid reacting unwise in dealing with her tantrums..although sometimes we slipped as we just human. But most important for me is if even you're angry, please stay in control so you wont react beyond rationale..some people tend to speak harsh words, some throw things.please please try to control yourself when dealing with tantrum kids.
3.Adni is the cooler sister. She rarely cries but when she does, omg i think i want to pengsan. But its just fair since we need to cope with kakak also at the same time.
4.Adni gets his first tooth at 4mo.very impressive!
5.Me and hubby tried our best to get our moments together..recently we took half days leave to watch movies..eventhough the leave meant for baby's monthly checkup in the evening. The first time i managed to pumped my milk in the cinema..and i was confident the neighbours dont even realize it.A mummy need to do what mummy need to do!
6.like most mums,i prefer my weekends to be filled with activities with kids, whether at home or outdoor. It took me awhile to realise that it does not work the same with daddies. Their weekends means to fulfill their hobbies AND also spending time with kids.So you know, i am still trying to figure out the best solution to make end meets..
7. After 2 kids..packing things for a vacation even a short one is quite an issue.i always salah bajet baju and forget to bring their shoes etc..which rarely happened before this.
8. Now Amna has her daily logbook already and i enjoyed reading her caretaker's remarks. At the moment she is 'kelakuan baik tetapi masih memilih pakaian'. Hahaha this phase is very much confusing since she wants to select all her clothes..at the earlier stage she even wanted to wear the same clothes for 2 consecutive days.once we even ended up with her wearing hawaiian theme clothes to a wedding!
9.Thank God for a king framed bed as all of us still cosleeping.babycot currently serves as my temporary tudung shelf while Amna's room become Tokma's room since tokma always sleep there when she pay us a visit.
10.parenthood is enjoyable when you choose to.Negative feeling especially towards your spouse will never do any good to the family well being.and to plan quality time with your spouse is equally important as addressing the kids' needs. All the best to us all

LDR Blues..

*LDR - long distance relationship
1. Eventhough my life is easier that I don't need to attend to his
basic needs i.e washing clothes, ironing, cooking for him etc, but I
do feel guilty/terkilan coz he need to do everything by himself in the
absence of his wife
2. Everytime he travels around for work, I could not help to think
about cukup ke baju dia bawak, sempat ke basuh baju, berus gigi
tertinggal ke those kind of stuff
3. The guilt he feels everytime his wife experienced mood swing and
broke down in the middle of phone conversation, let alone the
unintentionally accusatory words i.e. kesian sayang tinggal sorang2,
sampai hati abang tak balik etc
4. The dilemma he faces whether to stay or go back to KL to a cranky
wife when weekend arrives, especially when the plane ticket needs to
be paid using own money. Sometimes the plane fee can reach more than
RM1k!
5. The sympathetic tone and awkwardness when friends and relatives
tanya takpe ke dok jauh2 nie, takpe ke dok sorang2, can you manage?
what about your safety, taknak quit your job?unpaid leave etc macam
lah kita ni ada banyak option..
6. the dynamic and uncertain schedule for outside of work activities
i.e. programs, meeting friends, etc..in my case its always tie to
whether my husband balik or not (which has no fix date and duration)
7. During my first year of marriage, among the mounted issue is to try
to conceive..
8. When the second year comes, the big issue is I'm pregnant and alone
and how can I raise a child without a husband around?
9. The constant prayers and tawakal kepada Allah, even sometimes we do
grieve and cry but the most important thing is to accept the fate, and
try hard to put things into pieces in whatever means.. insya Allah,
Allah tolong kita along the way. In my case, all the time!
All in all, leaves everything to Him, since He is the ultimate planner
of our lives.

Self Obsession

Suka baca personal blog?
Bak kata Ustaz
Hasrizal,`Penat ber`kawan' (friend) dengan orang anak sorang ni, anak
senyum pun cerita, anak gelak pun cerita, anak kelip mata pun cerita
jugak. huhu.
berlaku dalam hidup kat orang.. wallahua'lam I am no one to judge.
Contoh kalau kita obses sangat tentang persiapan perkahwinan kita,
This is MAINLY a reminder to myself.. supaya tidaklah diriku terlalu
obses dengan kehidupan sendiri sampai lupa orang lain. Sibuk rasa kita
lah paling susah, padahal orang lain tak terkata ujian yang menimpa
terbaik.

2nd Anniversary Memorabilia

Our 2nd anniversary was weeks ago, and this time instead of a romantic
getaway like last year, we celebrated with his big family's barbecue
cum family day. I eat like nobody's business, like my aunt said
`Rasenye Sha nie dah duduk kat semua kerusi keliling meja ni dah..
makannn je tak berenti' Heheh blame the scrumptious barbecue (I'm a
self-proclaimed barbecue lover) and lots of food!
Sekali cerita pasal BBQ tapi picture adalah pen. Takpelah forgive me please :p
That is hubby's new treasure and he was sweet enough to engrave our
names together. Can I consider that as our 2nd anniversary
memorabilia, hunny? :) Wow dah 2 tahun.. time flies! I feels more like
pasangan bercinta rather than a 2-year- married couple coz we're
always apart and always on the phone, asking lame questions without
fail like `Buat ape tuh', `Dah makan ke', `Makan ape harini', `Dah
mandi ke',`Esok buat ape' stuff like that, everytime we talk. Dulu
rase poyo jer orang tanye boyfriend dia camtu tapi sekarang I yang
buat pulak, hehe
P/S: Entry orang bercinta. Sila abaikan.

Just figured out

my nephews !!

Sometimes I do really sit down and think the real reason why I did not blog often nowadays. Although I plan to resume (very) soon, it felt hard to sit down and tap the keyboard just to update this blog which has so few readers I suppose. Well, one of the main reason as mentioned previously is due to the Smartphone. Yes people, alot of bloghopping but too lazy to update own blog.

Some other reason might be the roller coaster life I had through out this year. Alot of surprises and shocking moments, some were beautiful but some did got on my nerves.. however I tried to embrace each and every one of them and believe that one day, Insya Allah I will look back and smile, feeling proud to pass all the obstacles with flying colours.

Why I don't want to share my roller coaster life? Perhaps I am afraid I will be symphatized (tak pandai eja..sowie) Dont get me wrong, to be sympathetic is such a noble attitude. Just that I felt uneasy to receive it. Or maybe some of the readers might think `Alah ni je? Taklah roller coaster sangat, biasa je'. The truth is maybe among my weakest link is my pride/ego is too high. And I hate when people judge me. I know who cares about what other people think, but sometimes I just can't help it.

Sooner or later, I think my blog concept will change a bit. I want to update my life journey specially dedicated to my dear husband, coz according to the company's plan (not our plan, of course) we will still be apart for sometime. However that is only human's plan, Allah's plan overrides everything and I shall pray to Him that we will go through everything with smile insya Allah. Dont remind me on the obvious options i.e. to quit my job and follow hubby to BWN? immediate unpaid leave? Almost all had crossed my mind but I'm not that bold yet to make a move. Haha.

I even think to privatise this blog, what do you think?

:) Enjoy the year end holiday !

6 months on hiatus!

Suddenly i missed my blog. Just to found out it was left abandoned for almost 6 months!
Wow, that's a record thus far.
I hopped to other friend's blogs and find the same trend.
Blame the smartphone, where we keep bloghopped but too lazy to update own blog due to the tiny screen and touch pad. I hate touch pad ever since I could remember.
I want to resume blogging very soon.
Tunggu!!

Sebab.. mungkin, iya jika masa mengizinkan nak jugak la tambah produk2 lain kat situ. Janganlah ditanya bila, bila masa nanti akan diwar2kan lah, hehe.
(okeh I know Encik A mesti tersenyum lebar membaca post ini. Nak tumpang jual baju ragbi le tuh.Komisen ye yang, komisen :p)

I'm just being myself, terlalu curious nak mencuba sesuatu yg baru. Do you wear neck tie?

Being a woman, I never really fancy this one particular garment, although I used to wear it during my primary school in Standard 5 and 6 (prefect la katakan, konon). Hence, I knew how to tie a tie (!) properly back then, but not anymore. I even felt an unnecessary gush of panic before my wedding just because I don't really know how to tie a tie (owh I hate the bold words,it doesn't sounds right! how can I rephrase it, anyone?), since everyone said you need to know this particular art so that you can tie for your husband before he goes to work..sweet kan I worrying things like that? :p I simply don't like ties as I think it doesn't serve any purpose. It just make dressing to work more complicated. I think many guys do agree with me. I mean, can I see a raise of hand, who actually LOVES tie so much? Tak ramai, kan. And what actually happens after lunch? Yes you guess it right, their neck ties are simply gone.
It's such a huge relief when, after married I discovered that my husband doesn't wear a neck tie. Or actually he don't like wearing one (oh yeke? jadi di mana tie cantik pemberianku sebagai hantaran tempoh hari? :p). Once he mentioned to me, `Driller tak main la pakai tie, skema la' hahah yelah tu. Thank goodness the company does not have a very strict dresscode to adhere to.
As many of us perceived that tie is hugely accepted as part of formal dresscode around the world, there is one country whom actually spare this- it is IRAN. I just knew about this fact! And more interesting thought to ponder on the reason of why they banned ties. In Iran, ties are viewed as un-Islamic and said to contribute to the spreading of western culture. You can read more about it here. But don't worry, you won't be caught by the police if you are seen wearing one in Iran. They are not extremist..:)
I always envy Iran for its boldness and its refusal to follow the westerns blindly.Kudos! So its not just me who hate ties, I guess.

Common Blog Annoyance

I believe most of you readers love bloghopping, like me :) Or else you whom does not really knows me personally wouldn't land to my blog, right? I just want to list down the annoying thing I sometimes found in some blogs that I believe annoys you too.. or is it just me who is overly sensitive? Haha typical.
1. I hate copy-pasted blogs. I know I've mentioned it somewhere earlier, haha. I mean, maybe one or two entries once in a while is not harmful, but to have an 80% copy-pasted entries in your blog is just a big NO. Might as well you just link your post to the blog/website you referred to.
2. I hate blogs that contained vengeful and hatred entries, even worse if it is full with bad words. It brings negative vibes and bad impression to the writer. Often I always turned off by good content blogs just because the writers are just too rude, insensitive and mean.
3. I don't fancy blogs that talked solely about her/himself alone-no other topics involved. But I agreed that this kind of blog does attract many curious readers but often end up they talked about the self-centred writer behind her/his back. I always wonder, what's the value of having this kind of blog? Hmm.
4. I hate blogs with too much short sentences/slangs/mix languages that is sometimes hard to read. Please, oh please use correct words and sentences, and avoid mixing languages in one sentence. Ok sometimes I did this crime unintentionally, so forgive me :)
5. Like you, I do follow some famous contemporary bloggers whom have hundreds of faithful followers. But I hate when I can detect promotion entries that is sponsored by some other companies to sell their products. I mean, I understand they have to do it because they're top bloggers and actually get paid for it, but it can be really boring and cliche, like watching ads on tv. I 've read some very good bloggers whom manage to produce original write-up even to promote someone else's products. For me, these are the real true bloggers.
I guess 5 is enough for now :) So what element that annoys you most in blogging world?

Today, another of my friend left the company.
Yep, not the department or the subsidiary, but the company.
But lucky her, she wasn't tied to the bond.
Or atleast I hope she was not.
Nevertheless, other friend just left with or without the bond.
If there were, they just find ways to repay.
While the others can't seem to imagine life without working for the company.
And few other contemplating but still could not make up their mind until now.
My point is, everyone choose their own path with our reasons and own priorities. And obviously, one's priority is different than the other.
While consciously or not, the path was determined by Allah ever since before we were born.
So be grateful, and stop judging.
Cheers and good luck, friend.

Fantasyland

Last weekend we went on a two-hour-date to MidValley.
Eh bukan tetiap minggu kita pergi date ke?

Sebenarnya ayat pertama di atas nak cakap masa kat MidValley, to be exact Harvey Norman ni we saw my favourite fantasyland... I even told him `nanti kita buat rumah camni ek'. I over excited, siap keluar kamera amik gambar)

Sebenarnya juga ayat kedua nak cakap kami gi date every week sebab..sebab..sebab...sebab kami tak pernah gi date sebelum kahwin. Haha nak cakap poyo pun boleh(atau, perlukan I gitau pembaca blog ini tapi takpe, setakat seploh kerat pembaca tegar takpe kot) tapi anda suka tak cerita Adamaya TV3 setiap petang weekdays la ni? Sweet kan bercinta pas kawin... kalau sapa cakap tak sweet I taktau laa nak cakap apa.Sebab kawan I si Oura suka sangat cerita ni.OK tu je, motifnya janganlah bercinta sebelum kawin lama sangat, sebab bercinta lepas kahwin lebih best.Selain mengelakkan tak best berdua-duaan dan risikonya yang tinggi, sesungguhnya lepas kahwin lebih sweet kalau anda baru nak kenal true colours pasangan anda.Sekian.
p/s: Amacam, ada mesej tak posting ni walaupun merapu? Ahah layankan je.

Resurface later

People can see if you're not being honest.
It shows in your eyes.
It lingers around you.
It is obvious on your body language.
And the stutter of words.

Or even if it doesn't show, it will resurface later.. at the right place and the right time.

P/S: This is not a hatred post.I am just deep in thought and wondering the what ifs, while studying the people and their behaviours. Human is interesting creature, indeed.

A Curious Case of..

I an currently undergoing a training in the East Coast. Some of the keypoints I learnt today is about concept of ultrasonic, and how it differs in range.

Before a cat gets killed out of curiousity, I asked Uncle Google on the definition of ultrasonic:

The term "ultrasonic" applied to sound refers to anything above the frequencies of audible sound, and nominally includes anything over 20,000 Hz. Ultrasound is cyclic sound pressure with a frequency greater than the upper limit of human hearing. Although this limit varies from person to person, it is approximately 20 kilohertz (20,000 hertz) in healthy, young adults and thus, 20 kHz serves as a useful lower limit in describing ultrasound. The production of ultrasound is used in many different fields, typically to penetrate a medium and measure the reflection signature or supply focused energy.

Then I wonder, how is supersonic differs in range, compared to ultrasonic?

The term supersonic is used to define a speed that is over the speed of sound (Mach 1). At a typical temperature like 21 °C (70 °F), the threshold value required for an object to be traveling at a supersonic speed is approximately 344 m/s, (1,129 ft/s, 761 mph or 1,238 km/h).

Ooh ok, actually they're incomparable to each other, like comparing apple and orange. Ultrasonic refers to very high frequency, whereas supersonic refers to very high speed.

Thus I can't avoid but thinking,

P/S : I'm high on caffein, thus the merapu thought

10 Soalan dalam Kepala

Nak tulis pasal banyaaaakk benda.

Pasal work life, personal life, Perak, Elizabeth Wong, musim panas dan hujan di petang hari, banyak outstation, banyak keje, evaluation season (PPA) telah tiba, competency being assessed, anak buah dah pandai meniarap, kekawan ramai kawin, taktau kenapa tapi malas nak update blog, gosip terkini..

Tapi akhirnya I settled with posting a few questions yang keep on lingering on my mind:

1.Kenapa cuaca panas sangat sekarang, sampai boleh capai 35 degree during day.

2.Kenapa sekarang rasanya senang sangat jumpa gadis Melayu yang tanpa segan silu pakai dress/skirt pendek and sleeveless. Sekali pandang cam amoi, banyak kali pandang kulit sawo matang je rupanya.Kalau 10 tahun dulu rasanya agak rare sight la kot.

3. Kenapa someone can be just annoying in nature.

4. Kenapa kalau stress, tekanan darah naik (tak caya kalau stress keje tu, gi jumpa doktor buat blood test)

(I'm not questioning, just curious)

6. Kenapa adat perkahwinan Melayu nie leceh sangat. Kena buat majlis risik, majlis tunang, kena hantar kad wangi custom printed, majlis nikah, kena bagi hadiah, kena bagi doorgifts, kena ada kek 3 tingkat/pulut kuning 3 tingkat, majlis sanding, majlis bertandang.

7. Kenapa sekarang economic crisis tapi our goverment insisted that Malaysia ni kebal dan tak terjejas. Sah-sah setiap hari berita tulis (the Sun la at least) ramai yang kena buang kerja dan some factory workers dah kena suruh pergi keje 2 minggu je sebulan (lagi 2 minggu disuruh cuti i.e unpaid leave)

8. Kenapa Elizabeth Wong nak letak gak jawatan padahal memang jelas ada orang nak trap dia supaya letak jawatan. Tapi jika tindakan itu yang terbaik utk PR (you know, ada pihak yang akan mensensasikan isu moral macam yang pernah panas sebelum ini), maybe another by election is the best solution.

9. Kenapa orang nak buat baik selalu disalah erti dan kalau buat jahat ada je orang sokong.

10. Kenapa manusia selalu berperang (dan selalunya kalah) dengan nafsu dunia i.e nak kasut baru, handbag baru, baju baru, keta baru, rumah baru.. the list never end.

Cukup la kot 10. Nanti kalau dah ingat tulis lagi.

On for high end stuff

Once a senior in her near 40 ( and obviously, filthy rich) gave me an advise on woman's way of shopping, and I believe it is worth sharing.

(sebelum tu, i need to caution male readers that what you will read might not be important to you, or will not understand the dilemma that women always have. But a good read if you want to understand your spouse better.)

She was plain shock when she just started working in KLCC. I think because of the office is in the same building with the shopping mall and the mall is filled with high end brands boutiques that cause most women (and some men!) striving all their mights to get hold on these branded stuff. Even there's a remark among the staffs " Kalau keje kat KLCC takyah la you pakai beg Coach, sebab ramai sangat orang pakai and takut sama ngan diorang plak nanti " Yes, Coach bags that are the cheapest would worth RM1000++.

Ye,memang normal women's instict suka sangat branded stuffs, at least if you can't afford it you still like it and dreamt that one day you would own at least one. I've no problem with the hundred ringgit range but thousands, are, quite ridiculous in my point of view. One more thing, this issue won't arise if you're really an SM or GM with puluhan tahun experience and people can easily guess your salary, or if you're married with wealthy men, VIPs or VVIPs, then LV and Ferragamo would be your best friends and people will easily respect that. But if you're a fresh grads or with less than 5 years experience?? Please jangan melenting if people talk and talk about you and the way you spend, because that is just beyond normal for ordinary people.

This kakak then shared her experience and conveyed her advise.

She think most Malaysian ladies, especially in cities are getting more `kiasu' than ever. She met several ladies yang kalau dikira harga semua baju, aksesori satu badan would worth more than RM10000! Huhu

Her advice were:

She suggested that a fresh grad employees should realize her own financial state, and draw a line and do not go overboard. The istilah was 'just graduate', and it doesn't hurt to spend a few hundreds to award yourself with handbags and shoes every now and then, but not too often. Usually the normal range for 'just graduates' worth hundreds, and the brands in the market are the usual : Sembonia, Paris Hilton, Renoma, GL, CR, Guess etc. Tapi ni pun come in various range, some RM200-RM300, some RM400-RM600. Depends on your budget and your preference.

Tapi tapi tapi.. ada satu lagi style `just graduates' nie. They might not buy something that is more than RM80 or won't go for branded stuff (so its cheaper), tapi masalahnya they buy alot.. ni syndrom compulsive shoppers la nie. Nampak kasuk ni lawa, sandal ni cantik, baju tu cam cun, handbag nie in trend dan terpaut dihati dan semua beli. Pastu campur-campur semua spending dah lebih daripada you buy one branded stuff. Camne tu? :P

And then after some time, maybe in 5 or 10 years, when you're quite stable and can afford them, you're advanced to `Masters' where you can start on Coach and Bonia, where the range can be in (RM800-RM2000 or more, depends on the model). Sometimes when the time is right, you can seek a good bargain for Furla, Celine or Aigner yang small size (read : smaller of course cheaper!) or brands yang baru je sampai Malaysia dan harga belum tinggi lagi.

Lepas tu when you're in `pHd' level, then you have nothing to loose after belasan atau puluhan tahun working experience with huge paycheck. Then, you're entitle to experience an LV, Prada, Ferragamo and aything from the long lists of high end boutiques that normally can be found only at KLCC and Pavillion.

Well those were her advise to me and several other young ladies who were with me at the time.

Of course people might disagree with her and have their different views on this. But for me, those advise are practical for normal people yang makan gaji in normal circumstances in Malaysia. If you were born with silver spoon in mouth and don't mind your wealthy parents pay for everything, then it is a whole different story. Or if you're a super successful direct seller/ marketer or you live oversea where you can get those branded stuffs in much lower prices.

For myself, with a normal salary of an exec with less than one year experience, bonus pun tak penah dapat lagi, I winced in reluctance and would never buy anything above RM400. Most of whatever I owned that worth more than that were given by my parents, itupun sebab diorang sendiri yang pujuk I suruh pakai apa yang diorang belikan. And I was blessed, thank God sebab I'm not a compulsive shopper or shopaholics.. :) I, like other ordinary ladies are also so in love with branded stuffs and suka sangat tengok-tengok show rooms tu kan, try-try depan cermin, tapi to date, I can stop myself from buying most of the time (kadang-kadang terlepas gak, haha reward yourself la kiranya tu hehe).Sangat suka ok, save duit and can use for something much more important ( like, helping for the betterment of others?) Satu lagi I'm also blessed that I'm surrounded by friends yang tak la kiasu on branded stuff, so I takde la terkena peer pressure ke apa. Cayalah korang!

OK tu je, i think its worth sharing sebab terkesan di hatiku, and her advice makes me think. This senior of mine are definitely already in `pHd' level, but what she carried was just a free pouch to sumbat her basic needs i.e purse, tissues and keys (that I think she obtained from buying cosmetics or something) and her appearance adalah sederhana. I kind of respect her for that.
Buy smart! :)

Matter of choice

Situasi 1

Baru-baru ni kita digegarkan dengan tragedi tanah runtuh. Baru beberapa hari selepas kejadian banglo ranap di Ulu Yam, tragedi Bukit Antarabangsa pula berlaku. Maka ramailah yang menuding jari menyalahkan pelbagai pihak. Tapi saya rasa semua maklum, hujung-hujung tahun ni memang musim monsun mengganas.

Situasi 2

Quote dari whoever diambil dari Truth or Fiction tiba-tiba menjelma di minda saya;

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways , but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

Sangat lah benar.
